Tyrolean Landestheater

The Tyrolean Landestheater is the largest theater in Innsbruck and is located in the heart of the Old Town. It has about 800 seats and attracts young and old with a variety of plays, operas, operettas, musicals and dance Theaters.

The Tyrolean Landestheater is a piece of history, which with partly very modern productions which impresses also people who don´t like to go to the theater. The building itself was built in the 17th century, but the name tyrolean Landestheater was create 1945/46. The house is a small piece of history, which Innsbruck could not imagine. At the end of the 1950s, the second playhouse opened the “Kammerspiele”. Very impressive are the self-made materials.
